Sometimes I feel giddy at the thought of being alive. Does this mean I'm on autopilot the rest of the time?

Oh God - I know this feeling. It often hits me after daytime naps and it is terrifying and I usually have to tell someone. This is EXACTLY IT!

But I don't think we are on autopilot the rest of the time because of our modern age of machines. I think if we felt like THAT all of the time, then we would not be able to do anything except gawp and cling to each other and mumble and fall to our knees.

It is also not just to do with being alive and how amazing that is - but also very much about death too. Ooooh - I must come back to this later - I don't know if i have any more powerful feelings than this one described here.

Thank you for finding it. You must have remembered I feel this - the number of times I called you in the midst of it.
